Global Recycling (GRC) #1 - Zero Waste Plan Updates and Discussion

GRC invites attendees to hear about the California Zero Waste Plan being undertaken by CalRecycle. Learn about the letter GRC sent to CalRecycle highlighting the California Zero Wasting Plan GRC developed in 2017. GRC also suggested this would be an opportunity to update the overall framework for California from Integrated Waste Management to Zero Waste and the circular economy. GRC also called for the State (not more requirements on local government) to focus upstream on getting residents and businesses to Rethink, Redesign, and eliminate wasteful practices.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Join us for a discussion on the emerging solar panel waste stream. Nate Pelczar of the California Product Stewardship Council and Courtney Scott of Zero Waste Sonoma will lead a discussion on solar panel regulations, collection pilot projects, reuse, recycling, and how municipalities and private businesses can work together to push solar panel recovery systems in California.

K-12 Technical Council - The ABC’s of Lunchtime Foodwaste Recycling

Zero Waste Campus Council (ZWCC)

Do you manage the waste system at a university, government, medical, tech, or commercial campus? Come join the Zero Waste Campus Council to talk about the ins and outs of building-level zero waste systems.
