CEAR: CEAR is a technological leader in the electronic waste industry and has been proudly providing service since the year 2000. CFT uses centrifugal force to accelerate and separate material instead of traditional knife-cutting methods. In a cyclone-type chamber, the physical forces of impact energy produce quick and temperate material separation by breaking them into their composite parts while simultaneously avoiding the escape of hazardous substances.
CleanWorld: Converts tons of food waste into CNG each year!
REFUEL: The Sacramento Biodigester and Atlas ReFuel Station is the Region's first and largest outlet for the processing and diversion of organics from landfills. It's the Nation's first to make a carbon negative fuel derived from the organics received. Today, over 150,000 pounds of organics make clean renewable natural gas that powers over 50 vehicles per day.
Sacramento County HHW: The Sacramento County Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility (PHHCWF) is located at the North Area Recovery Station (NARS). The PHHCWF has been open for over a decade and services over 10,000 residential HHW customers annually. The facility operates 208 days per year (Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday) for residential HHW service, plus an additional 52 days (Wednesdays) for Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG). This facility processes over 1,000,000 pounds of hazardous materials annually. Of that material, 30% is paint, 24% is motor oil, and 46% is other HHW items. The facility gives away approximately 100,000 pounds/year through its reuse program.
