What to Know Before You Go

We are only a few days out from CRRA 2024. This serves as a general, “Know Before You Go” page that was also emailed to all registered participants. Read on for details regarding the venue, transportation, parking, agenda highlights as well as a recording of our first timers webinar you may have missed last week.


Pre-Conference Actions/Reminders:

Download Whova: Be sure to download the app ahead of time

Virtual Attendee Reminders: 

Test your system(s) with Whova now so you’re not scrambling the day of to fix any access issues! 

Quick tips for virtual:

  • Use Chrome for your browser

  • Access the session you want to watch from the agenda 

  • Look for the green live stream or camera icon. Upon starting/opening the livestream or recording, you’ll see a session title screen 

  • Not every event during CRRA is livestreamed; if the green icons are not present, no livestream is available, and, remember you can only watch one at a time but all are recorded. 

  • Click here for additional hints and tips for virtual event. You MUST take time to review prior to Monday so that you can familiarize yourself.

Onsite Registration: it’s important to make sure you have access to everything you want to attend. Here’s a quick overview of the major badge types:

  • Full conference entitles the holder access to: Welcome Reception at Splitsville, All Sessions; Plenary/Keynote; Exhibit Hall; all Served Food Functions onsite at venue – No general Lunch Served on Monday for attendees or exhibitors. Note: Tours, TC-Meet Ups are separate registrations.

  • Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday One-day: these one-day passes entitle the holder to access: Session & Plenary/Keynote on the day of the pass (Mon, Tue, or Wed); Exhibit Hall; all Served Food Functions on the day of the pass – there is no general lunch served on Monday for any participants; Note: Welcome Reception ($85), Exhibitor Reception ($85), Tours ($40), and TC-Meet Ups (FREE) require, additional, separate registration either before or onsite at the conference.

Registration is closed online, but you can make additions at the Registration Desk Onsite.


Onsite, Special Events/Reminders:

Registration Hours: Registration should be your first stop. You must have a badge to enter sessions. 

  • Sunday, Aug. 18 – 3:00PM – 5:30PM

  • Monday, Aug. 19 – 7:00AM – 5:00PM

  • Tuesday, Aug. 20 – 7:00AM – 5:00PM

  • Wednesday, Aug. 21 – 8:00AM – 2:00PM

Transportation: Please use mass transit whenever possible. Whova has a rideshare component that you can use to coordinate with people prior to the event. There is no free shuttle from Orange County Airport to the Anaheim Marriott but you can take one of the airport shuttle options, Uber or Lyft are also available. 

CAMPUS MAP

Venue – Anaheim Marriott: All events, except for the Welcome Reception will be held at the Anaheim Marriott. Address: 700 W Convention Way; Anaheim, CA 92802 (MAP IT) Important: we are NOT at the Anaheim Convention Center; the Anaheim Marriott is right next to it.

Parking at Anaheim Marriott: Options include: Self parking: $42 Daily or $34 Overnight; Valet: $46 Daily or $44 Overnight


Welcome Reception at Splitsville: Sunday Evening 6:00-8:00PM

  • Must be registered/included on your registration type.

  • Plan to bowl? CRRA has 4 lanes dedicated for our group. Bring your own socks or purchase for $10/pair.

  • Buses from Anaheim Marriott:

  • Use Main Lobby for bus(es) staging area; you’ll see them. 

  • Leave Anaheim Marriott for Splitsville starting 5:15PM

  • Continuous loop until 6:30PM

  • Leave Splitsville for return to Anaheim Marriott starting 7:45PM

  • Last bus leaves 8:15PM

  • You do NOT need a badge but you will need to check-in to enter.

Once off the bus at Disneyland/Downtown Disney: 

  • Go from parking lot through security to the Check-in area at Splitsville.

  • Some walking required even when taking bus.

  • At Downtown Disney – buses will drop at Lilo Lot. Lilo Lot is located off of Magic Way and Downtown Drive.

  • Volunteers will help direct you.

Self-Parking for Splitsville: For guests that will drive on their own, please note that The Downtown Disney Parking Lot has MOVED. The new lot is at the Simba Lot, the entrance is off Disneyland Drive right past the entrance to the Paradise Pier Hotel. The first hour of parking is a flat $10 fee per car. After, Splitsville can validate for all guests for up to 5 hours in this lot only. You must bring your ticket so that Splitsville may validate. They cannot validate a ticket if it is not present. 

* If you are arriving to Splitsville on your own, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes prior to the event

Technical Council Meet-Ups: If you registered for a TC Meet-up please note that you will be checked in at each because seating and food is limited. Each of the TC Meet-Ups includes a meal or light refreshment. See TC Meet-Ups location details on Whova. Those that signed up will receive an email to confirm details.

Exhibitor Reception: Enjoy an evening of food and networking with our Exhibitors on Monday, August 19 from 5:30PM-7:30PM. Included for Full Conference and Monday Only registration types. See you there!

Past/Present Board Members Photo Op: Board members assemble! If you've ever served as a CRRA Board Member please join us Monday, August 19 at 6:15 in Platinum 5 to be part of the group picture celebrating 50 years of CRRA.

Mentorship Circle Happy Hour: If you signed up as a mentor or mentee for the Monday night event, you will receive an email to confirm details. If you didn’t pre-register and still want to attend, please see the registration desk when you arrive for the conference.

Tours: Paid tours registrants will receive separate email with notes. Those on waitlist(s) must be present before tour departs to check on availability. Check out all tours here, including a get to know Anaheim, self-guided tour. 

Earn PDHs – use this form from SWANA to track your attendance at sessions during the event to earn up to 14 PDH credits. Virtual attendees – track your progress and we’ll submit for approval.
