Who We Are
Our mission is to help city and county recycling coordinators work with the schools in their area to reduce waste and increase recycling.
The K-12 Technical Council (K-12 TC) aims to cultivate waste reduction behavior and environmental literacy in K-12 schools using best practices in:

Infrastructure
Activities and Resources for Educators
Our members are city recycling coordinators, education service providers, consultants, non-formal educators, and teachers.
What We Do
Hold quarterly conference calls.
Promotes webinars and training sessions given by subject matter experts on school recycling and waste reduction
Conducts interactive networking activities
Develop and lead workshops at the annual CRRA conference
Provides annual mini-grants to support educators with recycling and waste reduction programs and activities

The Journey to Zero Waste within San Francisco Unified School District
Reaching a point of sustainable resource management within a school district is a long-term, complicated process. SFUSD's attributes much of it's previous and continued success to its partners in its journey toward reaching Zero Waste.
