The West Contra Costa Integrated Waste Management Authority (WCCIWMA) is a joint powers agency created by the Cities of El Cerrito, Hercules, Pinole, Richmond and San Pablo, California to implement "AB 939". The Region consists of approximately 74 square miles located within the boundaries of the Member Cities.
The WCCIWMA is seeking an Executive Director with 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in waste management, program administration, including 4 years of administrative and supervisory responsibility. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills, will keep the staff equally informed and provide balanced, professional assessments and reporting. A strong background in solid waste, recycling, administration, finance and contracts is essential to this position. An individual who is a creative thinker and has a broad range of experience will excel in this position.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in business or public administration, environmental studies, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. A Master's Degree is desirable.
Compensation:
The salary for the Executive Director is open and is dependent upon qualifications. The WCCIWMA also offers an attractive benefits package.
