Description:
The City of Richmond is offering an internship opportunity with the City's Environmental Manager through the City's Manager's Office. Under the Environmental Manager's general supervision and guidance, the Sustainability Intern analyzes, develops, and implements environmental policies, programs, and public information to effectively reduce the City of Richmond's environmental impact.
This internship is an opportunity to gain experience and skills working on a broad range of environmental issues and programs. The intern may assist with the following: outreach and education material development, enhancing the City's internal recycling program, research on policy implementation including product bans and zero waste ordinances, writing staff reports, a greenhouse gas emissions inventory, environmental events, and other tasks as assigned.
