Winners Announced

The California Resource Recovery Association presented their 2006 statewide award winners Tuesday evening August 8th during the annual conference in San Jose . Whether it is through education, waste prevention, reuse, decomposition, recycling programs, “closing the loop” with recycled product procurement/manufacturing or shooting for “zero waste”, it is clear that “LESS IS MORE” for these award winners. Outstanding achievement recognition were presented to Ron Greitzer of L.A. Fibers as Recycler of the Year; From Our Feet” of Palo Alto for the Pavitra Crimmel Innovative Reuse Award; Mr. David Tam received the Rick Best Award for Environmental Advocacy Achievement; and Stephen Bantillo with the City of San Jose received the CRRA Award for Service. Join a CRRA TC Today

Under CRRA’s umbrella are ten Technical Councils that CRRA supports organizationally and financially. Technical Councils are groups of members that concentrate on a particular topic or interest. They are the grassroots level of the organization where members work on issues and develop and create technical assistance, policy commentary, networking opportunities, and other services to CRRA and its members. Ballots for the 2006 Special Board Election have been distributed. If you are a member in either the Northern or Central Districts you should have already received your ballot, which contains your unique voter registration number and a link to the ballot for your district.
