The nominations period for the 2006 CRRA Board of Directors election is now open. Any candidates interested in running for a board position must submit a candidate statement of less than 250 words to kymd@4arc.com and bob@crra.com before 12:01am on June 5, 2006 to be eligible for the ballot. Candidate member dues must be current and paid-in-full in order to be eligible for election to the board.
Due to the outcome of the 2006 special election all nine board positions will be on the ballot. Three directors will be elected for each of the three new districts. A new district map will be posted on the CRRA web site.General board member responsibilities include:

Participating in monthly board meetings
- Attending face-to-face quarterly meetings in Northern and Southern CA
- Participating on at least two board committees
- Learning and operating in compliance with all bylaws and policies
- Supporting the CRRA mission
- Upholding board standards
- Volunteering for occasional special projects or ad-hoc committees
- Attending the annual conference
- Assuring fiscally sound management practices
- Assisting and supporting members
- Representing the organization and interacting with other board members in a professional and responsible manner at all times

The LATC and VSERC Technical Councils are also accepting nominations during this period and will be conducting elections based on the CRRA Board election schedule. TC nominations must be sent to kymd@4arc.com and bob@crra.com before 12:01am on June 5, 2006 to be eligible for the ballot.
